Comes to The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival 2024
The Lonnie Donegan Story
Author: Warren James
Join acclaimed banjo and guitar entertainer Warren James and his Lonesome Travellers for a lively journey through the jazz, blues, skiffle, Americana, and New Orleans roots music of the 1920s, 30s and beyond.
From the early days of jazz and blues to old-time country, gospel and the golden age of popular song, Warren and his musicians breathe new life into much-loved classics and forgotten musical treasures, combining superb musicianship with infectious humour and lively onstage banter.
From the smoky jazz clubs of New Orleans to the back-porch blues of the American South, expect an evening packed with toe-tapping rhythms, memorable songs, fascinating stories and laughter.
Vintage music. Timeless entertainment. A cracking night out!
